Machel Millwood, Baltimore Blast
Baltimore’s Machel Millwood scored three goals Friday night to lead the Blast to a hard-fought 9-8 win over the visiting Philadelphia KiXX. He scored three of Baltimore’s four goals in the match, including the game-winner, for his first hat trick of the season. Millwood, a 2009 All-League First-Team selection, now leads the Blast and the MISL with 15 points (five goals and five assists) after four games this season.
About the Major Indoor Soccer League
The MISL represents the major league of professional indoor soccer, featuring the finest indoor soccer players from around the world. The league consists of five member clubs in 2009-10: the Baltimore Blast, La RaZa de Monterrey, Philadelphia KiXX, Rockford Rampage and the Milwaukee Wave. The regular season will run for 18 weeks and will conclude on Sunday, March 21. The postseason is set to start the following weekend with the top three teams qualifying. The second- and third-place teams will square-off in a home-and-home Semifinal series with the winner advancing to battle the top seed.
