The Blast Beat the Wave, 12-6, in Rematch

Less than 21 hours after the Wave defeated the Blast, 15-12, at 1st Mariner Arena, the Blast battled back to beat the Wave, 12-6, Sunday in Milwaukee.  With backup goalkeeper Nick Hovaker making his Blast  debut, Pat Healey led the way with two goals and two assists to help the Blast improve to 6-2 on the season and a tie for first place in the MISL.

Healey, who had two goals in the first half, scored at 12:39 of the first quarter and again at 9:08 of the second quarter while Hovaker and the Blast defense kept the Wave off the scoreboard.  Giuliano Celenza, who had three goals and one assist last night, assisted both Healey goals and added a goal in the third quarter.

The Blast added three goals in the third quarter before the Wave scored a power-play goal late in the quarter to cut Baltimore's lead to 10-2.  Warren Ukah struck first, followed by Adrian Bumbut and then Celenza.  Healey added to his points tally (25 on the season) with assists to Ukah and Celenza.  Wave leading scorer Marco Terminesi put the Wave on the scoreboard after being held scoreless for 42:43 to start the game.

The Wave fought back in the fourth quarter, scoring two goals and playing nearly five minutes on the sixth attacker offense but Pat Morris scored a short-handed goal with eight minutes remaining.  Blast forward Lucio Gonzaga was ejected in the fourth quarter following an on-field altercation and the Wave capitalized on two man-advantage opportunities in the match.
