The Baltimore Blast is proud to announce its 21st Christian Youth Night and post-game concert this Friday, March 2nd. The concert, featuring Shonlock and Ashes Remain, will take place immediately following the Blast vs. Wichita Wings game at 1st Mariner Arena. The game is scheduled for a 7:35 p.m. kick-off.
Local-band-turned-national-recording-artists Ashes Remain was voted “Best Band in Baltimore” by the Hard Rock Café and was nominated for the 2012 Reader’s Choice Awards for Best Christian Rock Band. The band’s lead singer, Josh Smith and rhythm guitar player, Ryan Nalepa, first met at a youth camp in Maryland. The band’s other members include Rob Tahan (guitar), Jonathan Hively (bass) and Ben Kirk (drums). After playing together for 10 years, Ashes Remain signed with Fair Trade Services in 2010 and launched their album What I’ve Become in 2011. This album was recently nominated for the 43rd Annual GMA Dove Awards Rock Album of the Year. The GMA Dove Awards will take place on April 19 at Fox Theater in Atlanta.
