Blast Improves to 6-0; Will Face Unbeaten Comets Saturday Night

In the first of a two-game Thanksgiving weekend road trip, the Blast defeated the Wichita Wings, 15-8, to improve to 6-0.  Leading scorer Machel Millwood led the way with two goals and one assist while Max Ferdinand recorded one goal and three assists.

The Blast struck first, when Pat Healey knocked in a goal in third minute of the game but the Wings tied it at 2-2 late in the quarter on a Freddy Moojen power-play goal.

The Blast controlled the second quarter, as Max Ferdinand, Millwood and Adauto Neto each scored to give Baltimore an 8-2 lead.

Despite a one-goal third quarter, the teams combined for five goals in the final quarter, including a Wings goal from Bryan Perez that cut the Blast lead to 8-6.  Team captain Mike Lookingland sealed the victory with a three-point goal late in the fourth quarter and Tony Donatelli knocked in the last goal of the match.

The Blast will continue this three-game road trip Saturday night against the undefeated Missouri Comets.
