MAX FERDINAND LED BLAST PAST ROAR WITH A HAT TRICK
 
The Baltimore Blast traveled to Reading tonight to take on the Pennsylvania Roar for the first time this season. The Blast was led offensively by Max Ferdinand who scored a hat trick and by Lucas Roque who had three assists and one goal. Goal Keeper Troy Hernandez played an excellent game only allowing in one goal.
 
The Blast came on the board first at 7:31 into the first quarter from a goal by Tony Donatelli and  assisted by Drew Yates. Less than a minute later, Blast’s Marco Mangione scored off of an assist by Diego Zuniga. At the end of the first quarter the Blast led the Roar 4-0.
 
Pat Healey scored at 3:19 into the second quarter off  of an assist by Mike Lookingland; his goal gave the Blast a 6-0 lead over the Roar.  With less than a minute left in the second quarter, Tony Donatelli assisted Lucas Roque for his 3rd goal of the season. At halftime the Blast led the Roar 8-0 where a different player scored each goal.
 
At 5:10 into the third quarter, Aduato Neto scored the fifth goal of the game with no assist.  With 44 seconds left in the third quarter, Adriano Dos Santos scored off of an assist from Diego Zuniga. The Blast ended the quarter with a 12-0 lead.
 
In the fourth quarter, the Blast kept the momentum going. Lucas Roque assisted a goal by Max Ferdinand scored within 14 seconds of the start of the quarter. The Roar finally got up on the board when Corey Maret scored at 12:34. Shortly after, Ferdinand scored his second goal of the night off  of an assist by Roque at 5:27, giving the Blast a 16-2 lead. At  6:23, the Blast struck again when Donatelli scored his second goal of the night off of an assist by Roque.  Minutes later, Ferdinand scored a three-point goal and his third of the night.  
 
The Blast improves their record 3-2 and looks to repeat Friday night’s action in another match against the Roar on Saturday night. The Roar will take on the Blast at the Baltimore arena Saturday night at 7:35pm.
