BLAST ANNOUNCE THREE PLAYERS SIGNINGS
Healey re-signs with team
Baltimore, MD- Baltimore Blast President and General Manager, Kevin Healey, announced today that the team has re-signed defender Pat Healey and signed two additional players. Ricky Greensfelder and Marco Nascimento have also agreed to Blast contracts. The Baltimore Blast season kicks off Friday, November 10th when the Blast host the Cedar Rapids Rampage.
Pat Healey will be returning to Baltimore for his 10th season with the Blast. Healey ranks 6th all-time in blocks, 13th all-time in assists, and 27th all-time in games played. He is also 6th all-time in postseason games played, 3rd all-time in post-season assists, and 2nd all-time in postseason blocks. Healey has been named to all-league teams in 4 seasons and has been MASL Defender of the Year twice.
Ricky Greensfelder is a forward/midfielder from Baltimore, MD. He attended high school at Archbishop Curley where he was 1st Team All-State and went on to play 4 years of college soccer at Wake Forest University where he helped the Demon Deacons reach the NCAA Championship in 2016.
Marco Nascimento is a defender/midfielder from Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has recently played in the Brazilian Serie B League with Oeste FC in 2013 and in the Copa Paulista League with Batatais FC in 2014.
Blast head coach, Danny Kelly, said, “Pat will continue to give us the veteran leadership and the ability to both read the game and create out of the back that has been critical to our success. Ricky is a talented player who I believe has the technical ability to excel at the indoor game. Once he gets acclimated, I think he will have the potential to influence games. Marco Nascimento is a player I believe will have an immediate impact. He'll have to make the adjustment to the tight spaces and physicality, but seems to have the total package in terms of being able to find players, beat players 1v1, and defend as well.”
