The Baltimore Blast moved back into a tie for first place in the MISL after a 14-6 victory over the Milwaukee Wave Friday night at 1st Mariner Arena. Six different players scored for the Blast who will now travel to Missouri to face the Comets on Saturday night.
The Blast jumped out to a 5-0 first-quarter lead after a three-point goal from team captain Robbie Aristodemo and another goal from Carlos Garcia. Hewerton Moreira made it 5-2 midway through the quarter.
Tom Oatley cut the Blast lead to 5-4 and Josh Rife scored to give the Wave a 6-5 lead in the sixth minute of the second quarter. Warren Ukah, who missed the Blast's last game while he served an MISL suspension, scored less than 40 seconds later to put the Blast back on top, 7-6.
Worteh Sampson and Pat Morris added goals in the third quarter to extend Baltimore's lead to 11-6 and Mike Lookingland scored a three-point goal against the Wave sixth-attacker offense to seal the 14-6 victory.

Baltimore and Milwaukee share a long history, dating back to the 1992-93 season when the teams played each other for the first time. The Wave leads the all-time regular season series, 44-26, though the Blast is 18-18 against the Wave in Baltimore and 9-3 against the Wave in the postseason. The teams have combined to win nine of the last 13 league championships (Baltimore has won five; Milwaukee has won four).

The Blast will travel to Missouri on Saturday to play the Comets at 7:35 p.m. Eastern Time on the 22nd and then will return to 1st Mariner Arena on Saturday, January 29th to host the Chicago Riot.
