The Blast will hit the road this weekend hoping to bounce back from an opening-night loss to the Syracuse Silver Knights. The team will play the first of five-straight road games Friday night against the 3-0 Missouri Comets before taking on the 0-3 Wichita Wings on Saturday night. Baltimore is looking to rebound from last weekend's 18-7 beating as well as from the loss of forward Lucio Gonzaga who could miss the entire season with a knee injury.
The Comets, led by Geison Moura and Vahid Assadpour are off to a fast start after two wins over the Wings and a win over the Rochester Lancers. Despite three early losses, the Wings squad features multiple experienced players including Jamar Beasley (11 points), Carlos Farias (six points), Tijani Ayegbusi and goalkeeper Sanaldo.
Max Ferdinand, Mike Lookingland and Carlos Garcia scored last weekend for the Blast and newcomers Ptah Myers, Stephen DeRoux, Mike Deasel and J.T. Noone all saw action against the Silver Knights.
