The Blast improved to 10-3 and won their fifth straight game with an 8-5 victory over the Rochester Lancers Saturday night at 1st Mariner Arena. Led by Adauto Neto, the Blast have won their last three homes games.
After a scoreless first quarter, Neto and Carlos Garcia scored to give the Blast a 4-0 lead. Rochester's leading scorer Mauricio Salles scored a three-point goal to cut the Blast lead to 4-3 but Neto scored his second goal of the night to increase Baltimore's lead to 6-3. Warren Ukah put the Blast on top 8-3 early in the fourth quarter, and despite a late goal by the Lancers, the Blast held on for the victory.
Saturday was the team's annual Hall of Fame Night during which former players Dan Counce and Rusty Troy were inducted into the club's Hall of Fame.
The Blast beat the Syracuse Silver Knights, 21-6, Friday night at 1st Mariner Arena.
