Carlos Garcia, Baltimore Blast
Blast forward Carlos Garcia scored two goals and recorded one assist to lead the Blast to a 26-4 win over the Massachusetts Twisters. Garcia’s first goal of the match, a three-pointer, gave the Blast a 10-2 lead late in the first quarter. His second goal put the Blast on top, 24-4, in the third quarter; his assist came early in the game, to Robbie Aristodemo to make it 5-0. Garcia, in his sixth season with the Blast, is tied to rank second on the team with 13 points (five goals, two assists) after five games.
About the National Indoor Soccer League
The National Indoor Soccer League was launched in September of 2008 and consists of five founding members; the Baltimore Blast, La RaZa de Monterrey, Philadelphia KiXX, Rockford Rampage and the Massachusetts Twisters. The NISL has formed a working relationship with the United Soccer Leagues (USL) and will become a member of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
The NISL kicked off its inaugural season on November 15th and will continue through March with the playoffs taking place the first two weeks of April.
