BLAST RE-SIGNS MIKE LOOKINGLAND
Baltimore – Baltimore Blast President and General Manager Kevin Healey announced today that the team has re-signed Mike Lookingland, the Captain of the Blast’s 2012-2013 Championship Team. Lookingland becomes the team’s longest-tenured player as he prepares to return for his ninth season in Baltimore. In eight seasons, he has won four Championships with the Blast.
In 2013, Lookingland was awarded MISL Defender of the Year and placed on the All-MISL 1st Team for the second consecutive season. In starting all 26 games, he finished second on the team in blocks (35) and tied for 3rd in points (49) with Max Ferdinand.
“Having our captain and reigning defensive player of the year return is huge for our team going into what I expect to be a very challenging season,” says Coach Danny Kelly. “His leadership as well as his ability on both sides of the ball is everything we need in trying to repeat as MISL champions."
