In other local soccer news, the Baltimore Bays, recently named the No. 1 boys youth soccer club in the country by Soccer America, have announced that the club has formed a partnership with Chelsea that will benefit youth soccer players throughout the state of Maryland.
As part of the partnership between the Baltimore Bays and Chelsea, the English Premiere League team will provide coaching for Bays coaches and players and the Bays will be able to send players to Chelsea to be evaluated. The Bays will host a youth 7 vs. 7 tournament with the winners advancing to Nationals at Disney and, in some age groups, the winners of Nationals will go on to England to participate in another tournament. In an effort to include soccer players from all over the state of Maryland in the benefits of the partnership, the Bays will host the Chelsea Soccer School, a one-week camp with top-notch coaching and teaching of the Chelsea way, from June 22-26 at Cedar Lane Regional Park in Harford County. The Bays will also hold a coaches seminar for local youth coaches at which Chelsea Academy coaches will give coaching tips.
