Adrian Bumbut: A Rookie No More

02/01/2010 2:07 PM - If you’re a rookie on the most successful indoor soccer team of the last decade, there are a few ways to make an impact on the field and to make the fans take notice - one way is to score five goals in one game. On February 14, 2009 Adrian Bumbut did exactly that against the Massachusetts Twisters, leading the Blast to a 37-5 victory and tying a team record for the most points and goals scored in a single game.

January 30th Ticket Exchange Policy

02/01/2010 10:39 AM - Due to the inclement weather Saturday, the Baltimore Blast are offering an exchange opportunity for fans who purchased tickets to the Blast vs. Wave game Saturday night.  Fans can bring their ticket(s) from the January 30th game (used or unused) to the 1st Mariner Arena box office on March 5th for a free ticket to the Blast vs. Philadelphia KiXX game. 

Blast to Hold Army Jersey Auction Feb. 19

01/31/2010 10:09 AM - When the Baltimore Blast players take the field against the Monterrey La RaZa on February 19, they will be wearing special Army jerseys.  The jerseys are part of the team's Army night and will be auctioned off during the game, with all proceeds going to the Family Readiness Group - Baltimore Battalion.

Wave Beat Blast, 10-6, Saturday Night

The Milwaukee Wave defeated the Baltimore Blast, 10-6, Saturday night at 1st Mariner Arena.  The Blast fall to 5-6 on the season while the Wave improve to 7-6.   The Blast will return to 1st Mariner Arena on February 12 to host the Philadelphia KiXX.  Lucio Gonzaga, Machel Millwood and Giuliano Celenza scored for the Blast while Giuliano Oliviero led the Wave with two goals.


MISL Announces Rule Changes

01/27/2010 2:59 PM - Rule Adjustments Put in Place to Enhance the Flow of Play, Increase Scoring
The Major Indoor Soccer League announced that the league has made adjustments to two rules, both geared towards goalkeeper distribution of the ball.  Beginning this weekend, goalkeepers will be able to throw the ball over the distance of three lines on the field and kick the ball two over lines, into their team’s offensive end of the field.

Wave Earns 13-10 victory over the Blast

The Milwaukee Wave defeated the Baltimore Blast, 13-10, Saturday night at the U.S. Cellular Arena, bringing the Blast winless streak to three straight games.  The win moves the Wave into a tie with the Rockford Rampage for first place in the MISL and the Blast (5-5) fall into third place, a half game behind the Rampage and Wave.  The Blast and Wave will face each other again on January 30th at 1st Mariner Arena.
