MISL PLAYERS OF THE MONTH
November 2010
Defensive: Pat Morris, Baltimore Blast

Blast defender Pat Morris has recorded one goal, two assists and four blocks in his first two games in a Blast jersey. The 12-year veteran and two-time league Defender of the Year assisted Worteh Sampson in Baltimore’s opening-night 10-6 victory over the Chicago Riot and followed up with a goal and an assist Sunday in the Blast’s 10-5 win over the Omaha Vipers. Morris, who was named First-Team All-MISL and Defender of the Month in January and February last season, is tied to rank second in points among defensive players this season.
Goalkeeper: Sagu, Baltimore Blast

Blast goalkeeper Sagu went 2-0 in November, allowing just eight goals in the two victories. He anchored the Blast’s defensive efforts in the team’s 10-6 win over the Riot and 15-10 win over the Vipers. Sagu, a Second-Team All-MISL selection last season, leads the MISL with a 4.00 goals against average and an 8.00 points against average after one month of play.
Offensive: Leo Gibson, Missouri Comets

Comets forward Leo Gibson recorded four goals and four assists in four games in November and leads the MISL with 15 points. He has scored one goal in each of the Comets’ games so far this season (three three-point goals and one two-point goal) and recorded three of his four assists in the Comets’ come-from-behind 12-11 victory over the Omaha Vipers. In addition, he took just 12 shots in the four games, having scored a goal on one out of every three shots he has taken. Gibson, who played for the Rockford Rampage and Philadelphia KiXX last season, was a two-time MISL Player of the Week in 2009-10.
