NISL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Tuesday, December 2, 2008
Matthew Stewart, Rockford Rampage
Matthew Stewart led the Rockford Rampage with eight points in two games against the Monterrey La Raza over the weekend.  The Rampage and La RaZa split the weekend’s games, with Monterrey winning, 12-10, in overtime on Friday and Rockford winning, 10-8, in overtime on Sunday.  Stewart recorded a hat trick on Friday; his third goal was the game-tying goal that forced overtime.  On Sunday he scored the game-winning goal in overtime that gave the Rampage their first win of the season.  After three games, Stewart leads the Rampage (1-2) with 10 points.
About the National Indoor Soccer League
The National Indoor Soccer League was launched in September of 2008 and consists of five founding members; the Baltimore Blast, La Raza de Monterrey, Philadelphia KiXX, Rockford Rampage and the Massachusetts Twisters.  The NISL has formed a working relationship with the United Soccer Leagues (USL) and will become a member of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). 
The NISL kicked off its inaugural season on November 15th and will continue through March with the playoffs taking place the first two weeks of April.  The Rampage will host the Baltimore Blast and the Massachusetts Twisters will host the Philadelphia KiXX this Saturday night.
