 Baltimore Blast: Lost previous game against San Diego Sockers 7-2. Baltimore enters having clinched a playoff spot and the number one seed in the East (13-2).

 

Rochester Lancers: Won previous game vs. Harrisburg Heat 21-12. Rochester enters in third place in the East (7-8).

Firing on all cylinders:

The offense has been well rounded scoring 117 goals in 15 games this season. Tony Donatelli leads the team with 22 points. Lucas Roque leads the team with 16 goals scored while Donatelli and Pat Healey have recorded 12 assists each so far this season.  Baltimore is far from being one sided as the defense has played just as well as the offense.  Pat Healey who was honorable mention MASL Team of the Week this for week 16, leads the league with 44 blocks and Baltimore leads the league in average goals allowed per game (3.3). In net for the Blast, William Vanzela has recorded 2 shutouts this season and leads the MASL in GAA (3.23) and save percentage (.800).

 

Team Depth:

In addition to the returning players, the Blast roster also includes eight newcomers. Offensively the Blast really show their team depth with 18 players who have recorded 2 or more points this season. During the first 15 games of the season the Blast have been able to average 7.8 goals per game.

 

The Competition- Rochester Lancers:

The Rochester Lancers enter at 7-8 after a 21-12 win over Harrisburg.  Mauricio Salles leads the Lancers with 37 points which is 12th best in the league. He has recorded 30 goals and 7 assists. Joey Tavernese and Andrew Hoxie are also scoring threats for the Lancers. Tavernese has 28 points with 17 goals while Hoxie has 27 points and leads the team with 12 assists.  Lancers goalkeeper joe Kapinos enters with a 5.16 GAA and a .759 save percentage.  The Lancers are coached by Doug Miller.
