Biography:

2007-08 Season Highlights:
Buete scored his first career goal in the 12-9 win over La Raza (11/16/07)... He made his Blast debut in the 8-2 win over the KiXX (10/19) and recorded one block in the game.

Career Highlights:
Buete was drafted ninth overall by the Chicago Fire (Major League Soccer) in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft... He played for the Fire during the 2004 and 2005 MLS seasons... He has played for the Atlanta Silverbacks (USL) for the last three seasons (2008, 2007 and 2006)... Buete was named to the USL-1's weekly Best 11 team twice in 2008 and five times in his three years with the club... He played in 25 games in 2008 and recorded one goal and three assists (five points)... In 2007 he recorded two goals and one assist (five points) in 27 regular season games en route to the Silverback’s USL Finals appearance against the Seattle Sounders... He was the the Silverbacks' Most Valuable Player in 2007.

College:
Buete played college soccer and majored in marketing at the University of Maryland...  He finished his career with 92 games played, 11 goals  and 24 assists (46 total points)... He was named First-Team NSCAA All-American and First-Team All-ACC after his senior year... The Terps advanced to two NCAA Final Fours during his five seasons on the team and won the 2002 ACC Tournament.

Personal:
A 1999 graduate of Bowie High School, Buete led the team to the Prince George’s County championship in 1995, 1996 and 1997 and the the state final in ‘97... He played for the Maryland ODP’s U.S. Regional Team for seven years.
