Biography:
2011-12 Season Highlights:
DeRoux was named to the 2012 All-Rookie team after recording 10 goals and one assist (22 points) in his rookie season... He scored his first goal in the 10-4 win over the Lancers (12/3/11) and made his Blast debut in the team’s opening game of the season (11/12/11).
Career Highlights:
DeRoux spent the 2009 and 2010 seasons with the Montreal Impact... In 2009 was named All-League Second-Team and Impact newcomers of the Year en route to the USL-1 Championship... He spent the 2008 USL season with the Minnesota Thunder, scoring one goal and adding two assists in 29 games... He was named All-League First-Team in 2008... DeRoux signed a developmental contract with DC United in 2005 and played 10 total games for the club (four games in ‘06 and six games in ‘07).
College:
He recorded 15 goals and 26 assists during his time at Prince George’s Community College... He named D3 Junior College First-Team, All-Mid East and NSCAA Second-Team All-America.
Personal:
DeRoux moved to the Washington, DC area from Jamaica at age 13 and attended High Point High School in Beltsville, MD... He earned Washington Post All-Met honors in 2001 after contributing four goals and 12 assists to High Point’s Maryland 4A South Region Championship campaign. |
